The Blazers Youth Ice Hockey Association's mission is to provide a grass roots foundation for the growth and development of youth hockey. The youth hockey program will provide a safe, fun, and responsible environment for the instruction of personal as well as hockey skills and development. Superior sportsmanship and behavior as well as hockey skills will be the major focus of this organization in that order.
Blazers Hockey was established in 1979 in Philadelphia, PA as a non - profit youth hockey organization. The Blazers Youth Ice Hockey Organization is a USA Hockey sanctioned program and a member of the Delaware Valley Hockey League and Eastern Junior Elite Prospects League . The Blazers field teams at the Tier II ("AA", "A" and "B") levels. All teams will play a full DVHL schedule with the option of joining the EJEPL league for supplemental games. Each team has the options for non-league and tournament games.
The Blazers Youth Ice Hockey Organization puts a large focus on development of its youth players. We start at the younger levels developing skating strides and puck skills and progress to more advanced skills as they grow in age. With an education program we strive to develop hockey knowledge on and off the ice to understand the full game.
